old V1 hardwire How-To thread to add: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3213

was looking for that one quite a while ago, but couldn't find it at the time...

not the greatest of DIY since the guy who wired this one didn't do a very good job of hiding the wire along the top of the windshield... but, still a nicely placed remote display, etc.

"For the OEM radio, the PIE HON Aux adapter will work for pre-04 Head Units."

Hi there,

Your FAQ was very helpful getting me started looking in the right place for a 2000-2003 S2000 OEM radio AUX input.

However, I would like to suggest more specific information for those shopping for this application. (There isn't a direct link to the pre-2004 input adapter in the post.)

The correct PIE part number is HON98-AUX.

This unit fools the radio into thinking there is a CD in the rear changer on track #1, even though it doesn't exist. You can switch back and forth between the in-dash CD player and "CD-C" player (displayed when using your new AUX in) anytime, simply by pressing the CD changer button.

This device gives you gold-plated RCA inputs, like those on the back of a traditional stereo deck. You only need and adapter that goes from the MP3 player's headphone jack to the RCA jacks (adapter is male-male). I recommend a 6' extension with gold plated contacts.

I bought my two-piece kit over the weekend from www.discountcarstereo.com , they shipped it to me fast. It took 20 minutes to install from start to finish... PLUG-AND-PLAY! No soldering, just push in a couple connectors.

Their extremely rugged and gold plated headphone jack adapter is part number "3.5-RCA6mm"

Here is links to the two products on their web site:

HON98-AUX 1998-05 Honda/Acura Auxiliary Input adapter

PIE 3.5-RCA6mm 3.5 headphone Jack to RCA Adapter Cable

I hope this additional info will prove useful to someone looking for the exact same thing. If it is somewhere in the pages of the thread, I apologize, I only read the FAQ post.
