Not sure if you were replying to me (specifically), but I have an 8.8 rear; just looking for a trans solution currently.

 

You cannot press off the 2nd gear on that shaft, it is part of the shaft itself. This is what makes upgrading our transmissions so expensive.

Oh no not you specifically, just saying in general. Same goes with diff. Unless you upgrade both.

 

I'm doubting the shaft w/the gear is "that" hateful, then you could press off the other gears, swap shafts and that gear, and then press them all back on.

I've not had an s2k case apart, so I haven't seen them in person.

 

How often has the Nissan 350z trans been swapped into these cars? Im looking for some info on how this turns out. Since its cheaper than the Supra trans but still stronger than the s2k trans ( or so ive read..)
