For you guys that don't launch, shift the hell out of 1-2-3, have you had any troubles? seems like 3-4-5 gears seems to hold up a bit better.

With stock trans/rear, I don't plan to ever even make boost in 1st or 2nd. Anyone ever blown out the higher gears?

We are working on a solution for that. Converting the signal to output 5 volts is very easy but you will need a way to adjust the pulse to match the gearing.
Could you adapt the "yellow box" people used for 4.57 gears to correct the speedo?
I'm not too sure, do you have any more info on this part Charles?

I'm using one of these with my gears http://yellr.com/ or you could try http://www.healtech-electronics.com/
But, yeah, does what you need, in my case we needed to almost double the pulses. I'd probably get the second product if I were to do it over just because the yellr caps at +100%

Id imgaine the increased low end torque from the GT3076 doesnt help

I never hit in 2nd, except the two times I hit the track. Hope it holds up at 12psi & Drag radials, lol

PS did it go from a roll, or do you shift hard?

No issues with 3-4-5 pulls?

I really hate this thread

Is there anyone that DOES have good luck with the stock trans/diff?

I think it has been proven that they cant hold up to the launches/hard shifts/2nd gear pulls.

But what about the guys out there that don't drive like animals? Do they exist?

I am just getting started putting everything on my car, have no track plans, and only plan to really get into boost while I am in 3rd or higher (on stock driveline). I DD it to and from work (about 15 miles) and local cruise nights/shows, and rarely street race anymore.

I Decided to go FI to have some extra power on tap(lets be frank, they are SLOW stock) for when that 18yo kid pulls up along side on the highway in daddys car. I used to race quite often, but as I have gotten older it has become less important to me, and just driving/enjoying the car has replaced it. My last car was a full out track/street car and I got sick of always working on it, replacing trannys ect ect, and while I do have another car, the track route is not what I plan to do with this one.

Anyone else use their S in a similar manner with good results?
