317 whp on a Dyno Dynamics machine (not a Dynojet)... Impressive! Most likely a Dynojet (eek an Egojet) will show even higher numbers

Btw, I have the previous generation Eaton blower in my Miata. I am spinning it to 17500 rpm and I've been racing the car with it every month for the last 4 years. Up to 18k rpm is no problem even for racing. The question is will your stock engine/drivetrain handle the extra power ...

myself and one other car are the first BETA's

There are 4 more people waiting for BETA versions (BETA pt. 2 if you wish). There was also one car running the kit (former BRP/SOT owner) for almost 1 year.

I've been pushing the BRP anytime i can on this forum. I'm glad that more people are seeing what kind of power this thing makes.

The power curves look pretty much like a C5's.

not here to talk sh!t but I have to point out some potential issues with a kit like this....

1. the amount of factory parts need to be removed/modified. not very "bolt on" / "oem" install.
- a kit at this price range, produces only 100 or so hp? 7-8 psi? avg end users would expect something relatively easy to install. modifying the a/c lines are not easy and even performance / mechanic shops would hate to do that.
-then relocating the battery, about 30lbs worth of weight to the front, thus throwing off the weight distribution a bit.

2. the supercharger sits right on the hottest spot in the engine bay.
- #1 issue, hot soaking ? i can not see how this thing will run properly under 100 degree summer. how about track days under 120 degree summer?
- even worse, the filter is mounted right next to the header. imagine, HOT air goes in the already HOT S/C, then compressed, it gets even HOTTER, forced in the engine, it just gets hotter and hotter. a very bad cycle.
- reliability issue, the s/c unit will not last under such extreme temperature.
-a vented hood will possibily help though.

3. the way that the filter is mounted is....uh.. weird.
- this makes the kit look even worse, looks like someone pieced this together in his backyard or something.

Suggestions:

think about moving the S/C to the intake side instead. replace the intake manifold completely like the comptech S/C for fwd hondas.
- f20c intake mani is 1 piece, so a new lower intake mani must be made, then the blower sits on top... keeping the throttle at where factory is, the stock air box can be used still.

hope this helps
Guys have been tracking these for yeaaaaaars....

In fact i bet you 8/10 owners of the MPs are on the track more than the average track goer.

It's quite a site to see when an MP'd Miata passes a Vette ON THE STRAIGHTS...

Yeah, it's incredible to say the least.

Putting it all into perspective.

In any particular gear, the BRP equipped car will pull harder at 3500 RPM than a Comptech equipped car will pull at redline.

I don't think people can truly appreciate what that means unless you have a Comptech supercharged S2000 and you have floored it at 3500 RPM.

Compound the power delivery and speed of that 'area under the curve' with time and you can start guessing what kind of ETs you will run...

I'm really excited about this supercharger my only concern being what you buy is what you get with no options of running more then factory boost. With the torque/hp this thing is making @ 6.8psi just imagine if you could run 12-14 psi.

everyone that goes FI turns the boost up sooner or later, with this kit that doesn't appear to be an option. anyone care to speculate what they think the max hp/tq this kit is capable of?

You'd have to go with a larger blower, as this kit is already approaching the maximum safe operating speed of the MP62. Not sure if there is enough room in the bay for an MP90.

A proper standalone EMS would help to extract a few more ponies from this setup.

Very nice. It's way more impressive in a graph. At 4000rpm there's a 30+hp and 60+ft/lbs of torque difference
