Well, I asked and was told the ignition timing is totally independent of the cam timing. Does DO have experience with S2000s other than yours?RAIN H8R, the only way to tell if yours are in correctly is to look. Did you loose torque? That diagram is correct.
I cannot compare dynos back to back as I did too many other changes. I have already said I installed them as -1 intake, and +2 exhaust. In our PMS you said you recommended +1, -2. My question for you sideways for my particular car, is when you told me that recommendation, did you use the first number as intake like you said you do, or was that the other way around.Again, here is your quote from April in our PMs:"This car likes 3 degrees less overlap and that overlap decrease can be moved around over a range. I am thinking your less efficient exhaust will impact my +2-1 setting. For that reason +1-2 would be my choice."I am getting irritated with this, I just cannot seem to get an answer on this and I feel I have asked more than 3 times for an answer.
Some times this ol sideways is a little slow. It appears like I had a brain fart in that communication and mixed up the +/- and may have given you bad information. I am at a -2+1. My apologies for the bad information. Your -1,+2 should be fine.

Current recommendation is retard the intake one or two degrees and advance the exhaust one or two degrees to make 3 degrees less overlap.
That makes sense with the drawing now. To me either way you look at the offset tab on top or bottom it was the same orientation. So if the original poster had the keys like the diagram that seems to me -2 +1.

More information to follow soon. It looks like the appointment will be set on the Thursday! Apparently DO has been following this thread also. The owner said that he will send me an email tonight sometime with all the information so I will be relaying the message shortly!

Sung, keep me posted. Depending on the time, I may be able to venture down to DO.

are we sure its correct?if they move counter clockwise then more to the left should be advance, but if you move the intake to the left and the exhaust to the right you would increase overlap.ahhhh crap
