waiting for someone to toss this onto a 2007....id LOVE to have this puppy on my car...i think 300who is perfect for this car actually. On the street i dont know if i could really "use" much more.

So this kit can be had for around 4000k or so...plus some misc parts, install, and tune and your looking at like 6000k out the door??? Not bad...

Just gotta get through the break-in period first! hahahaha

Maybe it's just me, but if you price out the parts individually, won't it be cheaper????

Usually when you buy a "kit" shouldn't it be cheaper then the sum of the parts individually.

^ Not quite following you. Are you saying that you can get the greddy parts cheaper by purchasing individually?

If you build your own turbo kit, maybe yes, it's going to be cheaper than those kits.
But think about all those custom fabrication vs. bolt-on parts.
I can't find a good reliable tuner in this area, so I feel much comfortable getting the Greddy kit and installing it myself(it comes w/ a pre-tuned Emanage, you know..)
Just a thought.

Thought I would share this response from Greddy
Their Response to my question below....

Thank you for your interest in GReddy
Yes this is a true bolt on kit. and has a preprogramed map in the Emanage so you do not need to get it tuned. after the install your ready to go, I would recomend taking it easy on the car for the first 500-1000 miles to let the turbo break in and get settled.

To whom it may concern: I am interested in buying your turbo kit but have one
big concern. I live in alaska and I don't believe that there is a good tuner
here in this state, I could be wrong. Is this a truly bolt on turbo kit with
the map that comes with the emanage. I am not looking for anything more than
what your turbo kit advertises as far as power or boost goes, I just want to
bolt on and go. Thanks for your time.

so after reading this entire thread... took about half a day.... lol i was just wondering if you buy the kit now, and then in december when greddy gets the kit CARB legal, would the kit you already purchased become legal and you would get sent a carb sticker, or would you be ass out of luck???.... just a question because if so then the cali people could just pick one up and since you only have to smog a car every 2 years, greddy should by then have the carb legalization process done.... I was just wondering.

HKS has a tuner listed in Alaska for the F-Con system
Hale's Technical Service (907) 277-4253

so you shoud be able to take the car to them to get it tuned/verify the factory settings if you wanted to..

The previous kits sold (unless there is a required change to achieve CARB) would be grandfathered under the CARB number. Hard part will be getting the sticker to put on the kit.

Just calling up Greddy and saying I have one of the turbo kits that was purchased before the CARB came through "I need a sticker" will not work.

You will most likely will need to go through the shop where you bought the kit and then they will need to get a hold of Greddy to get the sticker for you.

yeah so keep your receipts if you buy the kit soon! it'll help when getting the CARB sticker later.

Can anyone verify that the E-manage is locked?

Yes, if you piece together your own turbo kit you can save money...but it won't be CARB legal for people in CA, or others that have strict emissions testing.

As for the Emanage, it comes with the Emanage ultimate which should be tunable...I doubt they would lock it.
