What's up with the little foil tube thing that leads to the air filter? That comes with the kit? Looks like something from a diy intake.

yeah it comes with each kit, used to get cooler air to the intake. I would recommend a vented hood as underhood temps get pretty high.

well it was tuned at greddy and got just about the same power as the ap1 kit, more torque of course, but i plan on taking it to the same dyno that the OP did just to see how close the numbers are. Althought ambient temps might be higher by the time i get around to going to the dyno.

heres a little more he said she said b/s: i got to talking to a guy who works at greddy as he (i work at a food place) sat at my work, saying that one of the big problems with CARB certification has something to do with the CAT and airpump and how they work together to keep cold starts, more clean while the cat came to temp.... i am by no means a tech or know how to do anymore than change my own oil but as far as i can tell this new kit will maintain those very "important" smog legal parts and give us CA folks a little more usable power to boot, along with greddy's reputation to keeping it easily installed, easily maintained, and clean looking make it extremely inticing to me. i mean sure everyone has that 15year old kid in them that wants the fastest loudest car on the block, but sometimes/ somepeople dont want to GT race WOT all the time/ every place, sometimes a little DD refinement with the extra occasional"pep" is in order. TETO i suppose.
ps: anyone who has any info or can elaborate on the CAT/airpump gossip feel free to chime in.
