It shouldn't hurt you longevity very much, get another insurance company. Seriously, good companies cover the mod parts in an accident, and don't punish you for upgrades.

Sorry to hear you don't like it though. I actually find the car drives smoother now, just WAY faster. Good luck.

I have decided I do not like boost... It is just plain uncomfortable... I am constantly worrying about little noises, and if my engine is ok, and if its too hot or too cold etc etc...

Also, the car is way faster than I want it to be... scares me.

I have come to a fork. 1 of 2 decisions... take the kit off and sell all of it, OR, trade the car in and get a different s2000... I'm going to loose a sh*t load of money either way.

If anyone wants to buy the kit, click here: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...f=107&t=594942

I'd like any advice on this I can get... which option would be better...
I just wanted to share a quick analogy to address your thoughts and concerns.

Enthusiast A: Just spent $10k on his car, picking up a very nice boost kit with all the extras to build himself a chin ride. However, once everything is installed and car is tuned, he's a little hesitant to drive his car the way it was meant, built and tuned to be driven. Despite assurances by his tuner that he needs to mash the throttle, as that's all he did while tuning. As enthusiast A thinks more and more about the investment in money and time, he becomes almost fearful of breaking something or popping his motor. Now, he absolutely cannot stand driving his car, as he thinks he hears all sorts of "new" noises and even becomes confident that something is going to break.

A year and a half down the line, after he finally decides to "gun-it", once. Something in fact does break. Enthusiast A then says, "See! I knew it!" Something in fact broke. Was it a self fulfilling prophecy? Who knows.

Now, Enthusiast B: Spent a little under $3k on a boost kit, knowing that it's not the best kit in the world. However, knowing that it's not the best kit in the world, he is not afraid to break it. Also, since he eventually wants to go with a much better, more legitimate kit in the near future, he isn't too concerned about driving his car hard. He mashes the crap outta that throttle, boosts up hills, down hills, to the grocery store, to the video store and to meet his parents for dinner. He does this for a year and a half, thinking, when the hell is this kit gonna give out so I can finally upgrade to the "better" kit? He mashes over and over again, for the next 2 years until he finally moves up in life and picks up a bitchen ass NSX .

Enthusiast B had the time of his life and will never forget the great times he had with that cheaper kit, knowing how much MOAR fun he would have had with that better, more legitimate kit.

K, thanks.

Mine does too... perfect install. No issues except for the heat gauge...

I just don't like that extra power. I enjoyed the anticipation from 2k-6k and then the pants creaming power from 6-8...

I don't like the fact that the turbo can cut the life of my car in half. I don't like that my insurance company will rape me if they find out... and if they dont' and the car gets totaled, I loose all the mods...

I wanna go back to stock
Dont make me come over there and b*tch slap you!!!
Cmon its not that bad.

Advance auto can usually have them at your local store by the end of the day.

of of the nice things about the greddy kit is that it comes with EMU, harness and a basemap. i dont think greddy kit would be best choice if u want to go that route
