Heatsoak SOS

Heatsoak SOS
Hi all,
I'm running the SOS Stage II. When I start the car, it pulls reaaal good. When it reaches engine temp (3 bars) the car gets bogged down severely.
Would I see any benefit from running the Comptech Ice Box? or will it just delay the inevitable?
I think the heat soak is worse because there is no air flow through the radiator at all with the Mishimoto shroud on, the shroud just heats up and soaks the filter element.
Cheers

A radiator plate with an opening at the filter area along with a snorkel and the optional hood mod where you remove the under tray of hood to allow a air gap to slip past to the filter is about the best practical way to get fresh cool air to the filter. HOWEVER, you have a "heater" mounted right behind the filter, so your after cooler should be your main area of focus. Are you running the larger racing heat exchanger with higher capacity pump? If not, that should be top of your list.
Also are you sure this is a heat soak issue, rather then a tune issue? You shouldn't be hammering on the throttle until you get the coolant up to temp anyway, definitely not at 2 bars, and even at 3 bars it takes some time for the coolant to get up to nominal levels, as well as the transmission and rear end fluid. Hammering the throttle before the whole drive train is up to proper temp will cause added stress and early failure. I know its tough to hold back on such a fun ride but, just saying. Depending on ambient temps, It takes typically a good 20-25min before the car is really ready to rock. Ask me how I know.

I'm not hammering the throttle, I don't take it past 5K in any gear. Those are good suggestions, I have the larger Cobra pump. It's definitely bogging down due to heat soak though
