that is the foil covered split loom - seen it melt! would not use it.

No need to relocate the A/C lines, but I shave my firewall lately and relocated the lines under the fender.

That protection was added just to make sure the A/C system remained efficient. The wastegate is fairly close. The protection is good till 500deg.

yep that is the same stuff i have seen melt! have the box on the shelf!
