to be safe i woulnt go over 8600-8800 , you can go to 9000 but the stroke and the way the engine is made is not optimal , after 8250 rpm you gonna see alot more stress and vibration on internal parts , honda put this limits on is engine to be ULTRA safe so keep in mind you can go a bit higher
I have a new built f20 engine, bottom end was built by speed factory with alloy rods and the head has supertech valves and 100lb springs, I'm planning on 10k Rev limit (when I need it/if it still makes power) going to do some top speed runs next year as have a 3.5:1 final drive in my r200 diff so need the revs to be safely in 200mph zone.
