Makes sense. The series 1 is old technology. Business sense would dictate forcing the consumer to upgrade to the newer version. But that does suck, hopefully mine doesn't give me any issues anytime soon.

I need to investigate upgrade paths. My tuning cost more than the hardware.

If I can convert my map to the new series ECU I will. If I can't I will investigate alternatives such as the locally supplied and supported Haltech Platinum.

There are other company's who can and will repair the older series 1 boxes . As far as transferring your tune over to the series 2 a little cut/paste will work . You will still need to know what your doing though .

Your series 1 ECU may have 5 injector drivers (check the installation manual). If one is bad, simply change the terminals to the remaining injector driver in your wire harness and change the injector assignment in the calibration.

1012 uses channels 1, 2, 4, 5 for the injectors. 1052 uses 1, 2, 3, 4. I had to change this in the Cal.

But it's ignition I'm having issues with not injectors. Does it have extra ignition channels?

1052 installed, throttle calibrated, idling like crazy. It sits at 2k for a few seconds then climbs to 3. I haven't synchronised the timing yet.

Any idea was is causing the idle to be so high?
