I bought a spoon type F from Gotuning. Works great on my blackworks Radiator (same as FBM and Mishimoto).

When a fellow daily driven s/c or turbo'd s2k owner with around 400-450(WHP) says "4xx whp just isn't cutting it" or "I need to hit 5/6xx whp then I'll be satisfied", what is the root behind that?

Is it just a number goal satisfaction?
Lost a race and figured if you had more power you would've won?
Are folks preemptively preparing for that one kill that will solidify some purpose towards their build?
Is it due to lack of interest after a while? (i.e. It doesn't feel as fast anymore)?

There's a saying "boost is like crack", but I'm just trying to figure out why. 450whp (daily driven) in our cars is nothing to sneeze at, Why would anyone want/need more (on the street)?

Simple answer is you get use to it and it feels slow. I'm one of these people lol. Deep Sigh.

Same here. I've been at 440whp for over year and it's just doesn't feel fast anymore. Hopefully e85 will give me the fix I need lol

I see. So it's a sensation thing, or lack thereof. That's interesting considering your boosted S is probably the fastest car within a mile radius at any given point driving around town lol. I get it though. I just can't fathom having anything more than 4-450 whp on the street as a daily. Perhaps my train of thought will change once I get to 450whp.

yep it takes more and more power to get your fix as the addiction takes over your life . I have a pulley tree on a table in the dinning room that taunts me have resisted thus far but I do get the urge to take the one on top and see just what the old blower can take but I digress 9psi is good for a car that sees lots of back road fun as I don't fancy shredding a belt or seizing a bearing out in the middle of nowhere

Unfortunately the human body is capable of adapting to a shitload of longitudinal G, we built a 660bhp 4wd tubular spaceframed car, kevlar/carbon bodywork with a sequential gearbox that was only geared for 130mph, that thing would scare the shit out of everyone the first time they got in it no matter what gear you were in.

2 weeks later we found ourselves looking at superchargers....

I'm switching to e85. Have a walbro 460, id2000's and gtx3582r with 1.06 Hotside. What kind of numbers can I expect with my MY05 AP2? I have swapped head studs and have valve springs retainers, so I'm not sure what psi is "safe", and what whp is a realistic goal
