The downpipe on the straightline kit is ridiculous. I think it's a cop out to offer that as a dp for a bolt-on kit.

They'll make a regular downpipe or the through hood dp, you just have to specify what you want.

Any reason why a Kraftwerks intercooler can't be used on a Comptech SC s2000?

So I just bought this Spearco heat exchanger. I thought it was a good deal since its a straight bolt on just like the SOS. Is an upgraded water pump necessary? This might seem like a stupid question but will the larger exchanger require more coolant in the aftercooler? Lol

Since you are increasing the holding capacity of water/coolant in the HX, you will end up putting more water/coolant into the aftercooler when you fill it up after installing the new HX.

I would still recommend getting the upgraded Bosch pump. It it just a much higher quality and quieter running pump than the one that comes from SOS/CT. The aggravation of removing the front bumper and draining the aftercooler system is enough for me to recommend just upgrading the pump at the same time as the HX.

It looks like SiliconeIntakes/FrozenBoost is currently out of stock on those pumps

You might be able to find one for the same price on Amazon or something by googling the part number.

CoolGuy thanks again. I won't be installing it for a while so I have time to look for a pump

Hey everyone, I posted this in the Under hood forum but thought I'd try my luck here as well... This is a 350z trans that I will be swapping into my S. The bottom gear has some surface scarring that I can't figure out. Any ideas? Should I be worried? No other damage on any of the surrounding parts, or excess shavings or metal chunks...

I had the Spearco as well, very nice product, well made and fits perfect. I would also suggest the upgraded Bosch water pump, you can find them on Ebay for decent prices, just make sure you get one with the pigtail, or you will have to order that separately. The Heat Exchanger and Aftercooler are connected via hoses, so yes you will need a bit more fluid. I used distilled water and a bit of water wetter, which you can find in any car parts place.
