Very nice, are you running the restrictor? And are you recirc or dumping the wastegate? Trying to get an idea if I can get away without the restrictor with a full 3" catless exhaust and open dump pipe running ~14 lbs. I also want to do boost by gear on one of my tunes.

I believe if anyone wants to do boost by gear, the exhaust will need to be slightly restrictive, or the disc will need to be installed. The manifold flows extremely well. Couple that with the poor wastegate placement (not ptuning's fault, but packaging didn't allow for optimum placement) and it's a recipe for creep. From speaking with Dustin, it seems that the creep is not so bad as it gradually rises to 15psi. It comes on similar to a super charger. So even though you can't hold 7psi, it builds to where the tires should hold it until the very top of the rpm range. Stickier tires should help bring this to a minimum. I got my car running the weekend of getting my kit. I haven't fully tuned it yet, as I am still fabricating my exhaust, but the power felt very linear in first gear with what little bit I did get to drive it.

My car does the same but boost creeps to 16psi on a gen 1 gtx3076r. I have traction in 1st gear making 500whp. Mine holds at 11psi creeping to 16psi.very linear feeling.

Not sure if it would have made a difference or not but it's too bad its not a 50mm waste gate instead of a 45mm. Tubing diameter is 2" opposed to 1 7/8" but I'm guess that would help alleviate the creep unless its just lack of waste gate priority and the 45mm isn't maxed in the first place. Either way, the disk is pretty easy to swap in, if it needs it on the dyno it should only take a few minutes to open the down pipe and drop it in.

I like it alot more. The power is significantly more. The transient response is very smooth.

Time to buy a kit, and THEN buy another S2000! You never asked to drive it, maybe next time haha.

I am running the recirculating dump tube. I have yet to try the VTA dump tube. No restrictor, and I have a custom exhaust matted to the ptuning downpipe that is 3in to twin 2.5in exhaust using a 3in vibrant ultra quiet and 2 magnaflow 5x9 2.5in mufflers. It a free flowing system with proper mandrel bends and a y pipe.

Sometimes its not a the wg diameter, but its actually the placement of the wg. Overall, boost creep is a small price to pay for a very efficient turbo kit. I do not know of any other kit that can make 600whp on only 22psi.

I use to run the recirculated dump tube on my tunning kit and had some boost creep. But after I started running the open dump tube all the boost creep went away. With the open dump tube I can hold 13psi from 4500rpm all the way to 9000rpm.

Has anyone else finished the install on their kits? I've been up and running for a few weeks, I am eager to see other results!

Mine's on hold for a bit. Between work and getting knee surgery this Friday, I'm going to be out of commission for a wee while.

Definitely excited to see everyone else's builds. I'm totally stoked.

My install should be done by the end of the year. I'm still waiting on parts.
