Well maybe because you still have the CAT on.
The Cat Makes the Car Quiet.
Anyway there is a Big Difference.
When i had my OEM Catback and a testpipe and one i installed the Supercharger i thought that the SC would Blow the OEM catback off....Than i put the Supersprints after two days and there was a World of difference.
Anyway SC only Multiplies the Sweet Sound of the 9K revving engine and Turbo Robs any Engine...
Cheers.

haha- as much as im a fan of turbos- your statement is pretty bold. Ive been in both and I agree the turbo is pretty impressive, even to the point that Ive pondered selling my blower and going that route, but to say 300whp with a blower isnt even fun? and it feels stock? and only a tad faster? you serious?
I'm with Spec on this. 300rwhp on a blower is nothing fun. I guess going from stock to vortech yeah maybe but once you go for a ride in a turbo car w/ the same power or more, you will agree with us here.

Trust me. I actually maxed out my vortech unit witha 14 psi pulley. I was able to get 437. The car was quick i guess but just didnt feel like I had 437 ponies.
So I stopped thinking about it until one day I got a ride in a turbo S pushing 400rwhp. World of difference. We even raced and keep in mind, I had 437 and he had 400. I was only able to keep up with him for one gear change and then he was waving goodbye at me.

So the vortech was history and went turbo.

Wow, it's nice that there is a thread like this! I was originally wanting the whole SC'd setup, but after watching a lot of Turbo S's dyno and race online, I think my mind has officially been changed!!!

I loved boost in my 03 WRX and still miss it!!!

yup

Have to under stand thrust (or power under the curve) to see why SCs get their asses handed to them when a turbo of equal power runs them and destroys them.

Can't beat the torque turbos make

What about reliability?
I would definitely love to go turbo, but this reliability issue scares me really.
Am I being paranoid?
What are the possible / most common issues that can rise if I go turbo?

Reliability depends more on your foot. If you like to do launches like I do, your rear will break first before you blow your motor.
but I broke rears regardless of what type of FI I had, SC or TC.

Same problems as if you had a SC, its just that more turbo charged cars have much higher horse power (which is when stuff breaks) so it gives the turbo a bad name of unreliable which just isn't true.
