Can't Remove Shift Knob
So I tried to take off my old shift knob to put in the carbon mugen red stripped one. I looked at other forums and everyone said to losen a bolt, but I found no bolt, and others have mentioned that some previous owners may have used loctite to make the knob lower. Is this most likely my case? If so, what do I need to do, I heard "heating" it losens it, but I have no tools like that,so should I just take it to a shop to see if they could do it somewhat reasonably priced? Let me know if you need pictures of the knob.
Oh, and I also removed the whole gear stick just to see if I could get better leverage, even hammered the knob to see if it would losen up since I'm getting rid of it anyways, and still wouldn't even budge. Help me out, thanks!

Sounds like it was secured with loctite. If so snd they used red high strength loctite you need to torch it to remove it.
I'd try some aggressive pliers or something on it to get more leverage if you haven't already. Or if you have it out with shifter from the car closing it in a vice and find a large wrench or something to try and pop it loose.

Thanks for your input. Didn't think anyone was going to reply to this lol.
