Looking for ideas
I have an AP1 with 140k on the odometer, still runs great (made 206 whp on a consirvative dyno), but I wouldn't mind a bit more power/response from the engine. I considered a SC, but I don't feel that is $ well spent, given the milage I feel whatever I spend should also refresh the engine. I have owned both an AP1 & AP2 and love the high revving nature of the AP1, but suppose I could do without with enough extra power.
So my goal is a smoother, more responsive, and more powerful rebuild that will easily last another 140k trouble free miles and I am looking for suggestions of what to have done and who to have do it. At one point I talked with Jason at CNC and he had lots of cool ideas using their stroker Kit, but from what I understand he is no longer at CNC. Cost wise I would really like to stay around $5k with AEM or Hondata included in that cost.

At that point I might as well run my F20 into the ground then. I won't gain that much from a F22, MAYBE 20whp with my mods and a tune and no one wants a F20 with 140k on it, so I would basically be giving the thing away.

For less than $4K you should be able to pick up a used supercharger and the ECU to run it. Buy it used. Sell it used if it doesn't work out.
Working with a buddy on just such a project. He brought his rescue pup (AP1) back to a good life and is working on a SC installation.
Supercharger is much less intrusive than a turbocharger. Most kits are simple bolt-ons. Will see just how simple early next month.

As long as you have all the parts, and thats always a curve ball in a used kit, you can do a full sc install with plenty of beer breaks in a weekend. For those of us that are familiar with them, give me an afternoon and hold the beer until im done .

Add bolt ons to your F20 and tune it with a standalone ecu. You'll gain 20-30 whp from bolt ons and a tune with a standalone ecu.
