My seat
These "dome" nuts that are out of focus were key to adjusting those rails as far apart as possible.
The distance between the front two mounting holes on the rail was 17" center to center. In the back the distance was 16.5". I still had to loosen up the bolts that attach the side brackets to the seat in order to give myself enough play to get the mounting holes to line up.
My 6 point setup

Tom, I thought the sub belt mounting points were to be vertical-to-20* behind the harness connection. 5-pt could be vertical-to-20* in front of the buckle attachment. Using the the front seat mounting holes is common?
What is your instructor going to use?

My instructions said that the sub straps should form a straight line with your shoulder straps, so using the existing front seat mounting holes got me very close to that.
I am not sure about my instructor. A six point is going to be tricky and unsafe with a stock seat. I am going to ask if I can use a 4 point instead of a matching 6 point. Otherwise, I might just pick up a pair of 4 points with chest straps and run them. They have a stupid rule that driver and passenger harnesses must be equal instead of just meeting a minimum criteria
