Is there any problem mixing brake pad brands for Front and Rear?

I am thinking of running the XR2 in the front and HP+ in the back..Since I am too cheap to get the GT-S.

What do u guys think??

there shouldn't be a big problem w/ this only time I'd worry a whole lot would be if you ran a less aggressive pad in the front.

Any update from anyone running one of their rear compounds? Which compound are you running? How do you like it?

Anyone tried the XR3 up front? How is it? I'll just be using them for HPDEs for now, and was using the SpecVRs front & OEM rears, and was fairly satisfied w/ that compound. I don't need anything too aggressive, just something that will stand up to HPDEs. (I'm pretty hard on brakes, though).

BTW... I got a laugh to find that one of their 5 distributors is just down the street from me in podunk Wylie, TX. Looking at the page, it looks like a pretty big-name shop, too (involved in Speed World Challenge racing). I didn't even know it was there.

Marcus - I ran the XR2/GTS setup at TWS a few months ago, and was very pleased. Best set of pads I have had on the S2k for the track, they dominated the Hawk Blues I was running prior - alot cheaper too.

The Cobalt guys were very surprised when I told them I wanted to run XR4 or XR5 on the rear. They eventually shipped me a set of XR5. But the punchline is ... I haven't tracked the car since I bought them. (I had about five track days in two weeks in late June and kind of burned out my desire and my bank account.)

Next track event I have on the schedule isn't until Oct 12-13-14, but I am getting itchy to try and sneak one in before that if I can.
