Can't wait!! I'll have a grand total of 2 events ( 1 local, 1 test and tune, lol!) under my belt to get the car dialed in. Hopefully she works well!!

I think I am the only guy in this thread that has ran the DC Pro before, so let me tell you, our s2000's, comparitively speaking, will be at their biggest disadvantage compared to any other site or race layout in the United states. The launch and drag race is up hill for 150 ft (at least) followed by another (even longer, and steeper) run up the hill. This places a HUGE advantage on the power cars. The BS solstices creamed everyone in 2010, the 350/370z creamed all of CS too. All the power cars dominated their classes. Now that being said, a full prep BS CR has never competed here, so we'll see how we do. I do believe the AP2/CR can win - but I will say, without question, that Eric Kriemelmeyer will be FAST in that Solstice. Hopefully it's a Honda on the top step when the dust settles.
Eric had some problems with his solstice and is driving Steve Kahre's s2000 this year at the pro. At least that's what he said on Sunday.
Good news for us....but I'll wait until I don't see a turbo-charged fire breathing monster show up on Friday

Yea, Eric's plan is to drive my car unless he changes his mind and gets his car fixed in time. He had a trailer incident that wrecked the driver's door. He hasn't had much seat time in an S2k but he is always fast and knows FedEx as well as anyone. He and that Solstice have been beating up on me at FedEx for years now. He co-drove with me a couple of weeks ago at an Autocrossers Inc event but it was in the rain.

First Pro? In for some fun!!!

There is good lawn mowing opportunity if you make a hard right when you launch, (including killing the starter and demolishing the starting lights)

Or, feel free to lose your brakes going past the finish and launch in to the grass meridians. Might want to put a John Deere sticker on the car first though.

That would only happen on a S2k with toe out in the rear. I wonder who'd be crazy enough to do that

It looked like that civic was playing "hero" when he hit that pole. He was hauling ass across the lot, got loose in as slalom, and just skated forever until he hit the pole. I would surmise that if he had just gone two feet in that he would have stopped I'm time, but it was hard to tell. I think he kept his foot on the gas.

There have been a few other off course excursions at FedEx. Last event felt comfortable IMO, however, since it seemed that the course was farther inset than normal. Plus the grip is better than it was in the first few post sealed years.

Just be careful. Even Rad should be ok though
