Awesome. That sounds like a pretty solid plan. I'm sure there is a ton of stuff you can do that will work for both classes. I mean, you'd basically have all your suspension and wheels/tires sorted out in BSP and then it's just about adding fun power/strength and aero. You're right about SSM not being cheap. If somebody gave me 30k, I'd know what to do with every cent of it.

Out of curiosity, what would you do with it?

-full motor build
-stand alone tuning
-transmission swap
-body work that looks fantastic and covers giant wheels
-wings and more wings

Now, all this is for my car (Elise) but a fair amount of it would translate to the S2000.

The correct answer to that question always starts with: "cut the windshield off!"

Since no one seems to want to be the guinea pig I'm dropping the car off next weekend to have one of those crazy SP legal spoilers made for the car. Good idea? Bad idea?

Probably a good idea, I was just banking on hopes that its minimal gains and not necessary.

Yeah, I kinda wish they weren't legal but I can see where they could be useful and let you set the car up to be really loose for the tight stuff and let aero take over to keep the car stable at the high speed stuff.

I've been saving my data from each event so I'll be able to see if the spoiler is noticeable at all there but I should be able to feel it. I know I certainly felt a difference when I took off my APR GTC-200 wing to make the car BSP legal and arguably a straight up spoiler would be even more effective at Solo speeds.
