NEW FASTRACK response to my letter
#11932 Convertible Top Removal Clarification
There have been multiple letters written expressing concerns about the SP
AC clarification regarding the tonneau
cover needing to be in place if the soft top has been removed on a non-CR S2000. Many of these letters have
focused on costs associated with this change. It is not the desire of the SP
AC to make the sport more expensive for
its membership, but the ruleset must apply equally to all cars in all SP
classes. It is not always possible to reconcile
the cost of preparing a particular vehicle with these rules without causing numerous unintended consequences for
other vehicles

I saw that and didn't really understand it. I say that the rules are clear regarding the legality of removing the soft top. With regard to adding the cr tonneau cover, I don't know. If it requires brackets that have to be welded in, that's explicitly not allowed, so it sounds like that would not be feasible under UD/BD.
I switched to act heavy duty street clutch with organic sprung disc and heavy duty pressure plate. Also streetlite flywheel as i wanted some mass still for launching the car.
After 200+ launches the clutch is holding up like grandma is driving it around town... Perfect amount of modulation for pro launches, and no chatter.
Competition clutch did replace the clutch and flywheel that had failed on me, however i have not had a need to use it, it sits as a spare for now.
