Good god. Have you seen in the increased Hoosier A6 costs this year?! $363 per tire for a 285/30/18. $376 per tire for a 315...

That's less of an increase than what I thought....it was a bigger jump last year.

What was it last year? Maybe another reason to go with BFG?

Conekiller, the more I look at your car and think about things the more I'm tempted to go with the 275 BFGs all around, It's basically like running 285 Hoosiers all around but the tire is a bit taller for better gearing. Since my wheels are 18x11 8.5 backspacing all around I'll just use 10mm or 15mm spacers up front and then I can rotate them back to front as needed. The price is also right at about $1200 a set. It also simplifies my suspension setup since my car was always set up for a square tire setup anyway. Hmm this is definitely sounding like the way I want to go.

ouch! It appears Hoosier is cringing at the fact that more people are switching to street tires. They need to come out with a 140 street tire and call it "RT Factor" lol! The forums in my Region have been peppered with threads on Street tire factor and street tire classes.

It would be fun to see what 18x10.5s with 265/35/18 Toyo R1Rs can do on a S2000. I know it's a stretch buy I hear the tires like that. RT factor applied to those would surely be nice

Yes exactly. The nice thing is you get the grip of the 285 with the gearing of the 315. Honestly after experiencing the grip this past weekend up until the car broke. I think the balance and grip levels were perfect. We have another event next weekend on asphalt instead of concrete. I am hoping that my diff parts come in and i have time to get it back together before then so we can test some more. I think 315 between fitting on the car and such is going to be no advantage. The bfg do require a bit different setup to work better on the car but once you get it it's amazing

Actually, looking at the specs, isn't the 275 BFG more closer to the width and diameter of the 295 hoosier? I'm getting my fenders yanked nearly horizontal so I can get uber clearance

The 285 Hoosier is actually slightly wider than the 295 Hoosier...

Yeah but the 295 is taller. It's about as tall as the 275 BFG.
