Put 25 runs on the car today. Ran well, no breakage.

Noel Leslie making a vein attempt to hold up an iphone for video in a real SP car...not so easy. This was a little TnT that was completely informal (i.e. him holding camera in the car)....

This was a slow, dirty run, but for the sake of sharing:

Everything was on (including used up hoosiers) except front aero and the power mods. Going to have to go up in spring and I am really looking forward to the extra 20-25whp and 30lbs of weight dropped.

I guess I'll contribute too. On Saturday we replaced the tip that fell off my exhaust, bled my brakes and I'm thinking "yay, finally done". Today, got a chance to push the car for the first time (on year old star specs just for testing) and of course something's gone wrong. My new 70mm throttle body is sticking very badly. The car was undrivable. The throttle would just end up wherever it wanted to unless I really babied it. Made the car feel like shit although I will say when I did go to WOT, OMG, love the power. We're gonna get this sorted this Saturday by replacing the TB and figuring out why this one is sticking but I really hope this doesn't become a theme for the year.

I got one clean run in - video below (I think this was like my second run of the day - out of 7). I was so concerned about the throttle, you can tell by my hacky driving that I wasn't really paying attention to the course much and instead trying to tap the gas to make sure it wasn't stuck.

Copying from my facebook...

No more throttle problems and with the constantly varying grip level I was getting from the cold (40F ambient during this run), the car felt very nervous until around 5 runs into the second session where I got one clean run after coning and spinning like crazy all day. Still need a lot of tweaking on the suspension and relearning how to drive this new setup. Significant power boost over last year and so much more grip when you finally get some heat in the tires...my mind can't even keep up with the car...especially when my body is frozen.

Look further ahead Something I still always tell myself I am not doing well enough. Your set up looks like a lot of fun. I can only imagine what the grip must be like.
