Prepping for BSP
I don't know how many of you guys have footwell cameras but watch this video from today and tell me if that brake pedal is normal? I mean I know Hoosiers generate a lot of grip but enough to move the brake pedal slightly from the lateral Gs? Could that be movement in the brake cylinder? Is it legal to brace it? I think I saw a photo of some kind of brake cylinder brace thing before.

I had issues with the car that plagued us all weekend. The motor isn't running right and cut off on course and we were without ABS. We ended up driving Ricky Crow's B-Stock car in RTR trim for day 2 of the tour and put the BSP car on the trailer. It has a continuous cyl 4 misfire code and stalls after a hard right hand turn. Its also running really rich despite the tune.

Marc, why are you missing a time off your morning runs at Lincoln today? Did something go wrong?

its on stock injectors, i spend a lot of time working through the electrical side but couldnt track down the source of the issue. Seemed at the end errors from the knock sensor caused from the engine running very very rich and eventually fouling cylinder 4 out 3/4 around the course and the car shutting itself down from loss of ignition. Lots of strange electrical anomalies were coming up in data and the issue would come and go making it hard to work through.
On one occasion i thought i had it straightened out, idled the car for 30 minutes and went and did a run on the test course, came back and let it idle some more, drove around again, had no issues. two runs in the next day, the car shut itself off from constant miss fire in cylinder 4. I am torn between just really crappy tuning (didnt want to mess with it too much incase the o2 was just reading wrong) and some loose connection somewhere in the electrical. I ran my hand over everything i could
Damn that sucks. That definitely sounds like an electrical problem. I would start yanking at the cables and see if anything comes out. That's how we eventually saw the loose injector clip problem. With a nice tug the wire just pulled right out of the connector. If something is loose it probably won't manifest itself on the dyno, G forces are needed to make the problem show up. I assume it also just has the stock o2 sensor. Power to my wideband came loose too from autoxing. We've since fixed that. Could it be possible the o2 sensor also went bad from dumping fuel from running rich? Lastly, 06+ cars have a different O2 sensor from pre-DBW cars so just make sure you didn't mix it up even though it'll plug in correctly.
