Hypertech is doing a tuner our cars. One of the members of Mid South region SCCA works at Hypertech and made me aware of the product. He claims to have made more that 1400 dyno runs developing the tune. The tuner has the entire power curve tuned for optimized fuel and timing, offers up to 500rpm increase in the rev limiter in 100rpm increments and lowers the VTEC changeover by up to 500rpm in 100rpm increments. It's also way cheaper than Hondata $599 list and discounted to as low as $449 thru their dealers. I'm currently trying one out and it works really well.
wanna shoot me some more info? are they are dyno results to back it up?

only problem with the hypertech is it wont work on my06. I've called and talked to their techs 6 months ago when I got the email about it from my work and I guess the computers are different from my06 ot my07+

Oh by the way, they say still in development for the tunner and show no dyno figures.

I saw dyno figures when I chose 06 s2000. It was only an additional 3 peak hp and 1 peak tq. It did smooth the curve out quite a bit though

wtf... why are you punching koala bears?

I am liking those TSW wheels. Maybe I need to get a set for my wife, as I enjoy her company,

Sucks that there are no solid options for tuning '01 cars. Maybe it is time to upgrade to a CR?

The biggest gain to us is the extra revs up top,if you look at their dyno charts, notice that the stock hp peaks at 8200rpm right on the rev limiter and does'nt really fall off much until after 8600rpm.Extending that shift to 8600rpm keeps you in the engine's peak torque and powerband.Being able to lower the VTEC engagement point could broaden the powerband too resulting in a reduced need to downshift. When I extend my shifts the VTEC not only remains engaged but the green light indicating peak power stays lit.The car is very noticably faster.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but have you guys heard anything about the TSW Nurburgring wheels. They come in 17x9 +63, forged, $216 per wheel. Rumor has it they are ~17.5 lbs

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=772294

Yes, they are a "ricer" company as far as I know. But not a bad looking wheel in the right size and potentially the right weight for the right price.
Ouch, I called discount tire and they are listed at 25lbs each! I then asked how much a rpf1 was to make sure it wasn't an estimated shipping weight and they said a rpf1 17X8 was 16lbs..

Dammit. I wonder why that other guy said 17lbs...I'm going to err on caution and skip it.

Ohhh, ok. I saw the dyno for the 06. On that dyno, did they reduce the VTEC engagement the 500 rpm? I would have expected that the 16tq would be higher in the RPM range, not at 2650. It'd also be interesting to see what this tuner would do with a exhaust and a CAI.

-edit-

I actually have one of these tuners in stock at my work. I might have to pick it up and try it out this weekend. Only thing Im worried about is the power when lowering the VTEC engagement point.

On the TSW's when I called the America's Tire local to me, they said wheel weight was 17-17.5 lbs. Thats interesting that you got a different quote.
