I thought a full conversion was needed (minus allowed/replaceable parts), no?

Front Spoiler, Tonneau Cover, Bracing, interior pieces...
Yep, everything. Interior, emblems, everything. Also consider the CR has a different wiring harness.

Emblems?! In the words of John McEnroe, "You cannot be serious!"

You don't need emblems in Street Touring

i have a roll bar and have not installed all the parts in the rear back
how big of an issue will this be?
it just a few plastic peices that in no way weigh as much as the roll bar..

2654

Stock seats - driver side has heavier than stock bracket that lowers by 1".
6lb battery
SSR Type F wheels w/Toyo's
Greddy TI-C full exhaust
1/4 tank of gas

I figure there is about 30lbs left if I really wanted to go crazy. I could ditch the back half of the exhaust for 10lbs, 10-15lbs in the seats and I could go from a steel compression canister to aluminum. Oh and I could probably save another 10lbs or so by going to smaller center section on my front bar.

I'll be adding a bit of weight by going to the 17x9's unless someone wants to sell me a set of Volks for $1200 or so...

Anybody out there running 18" wheels? They are allowed, right? There is only a tire width restriction (255), I believe.
I'm not sure there will be a benefit of 18's, corner speeds may have the possibility of improvement up to the apex, but acceleration will suffer from the added rotational mass to the extent that you will be right back where you started or possibly slower, would be interesting to see someone try it with exact same diameter tires.

interesting. It sounded like it was going to be hell to get that light. glad to know it's not that bad. that's not a very big weight penalty over the MX5 at all.

Josh, that is very light! IIRC, you have a few non-legal STR weight reduction mods. With this being a STR Prep thread, you should include that info as some might scratch their heads as to how you got that light.
