I have no clue but I just want to say I hate all theses rules. I plan to run str and a couple of guys that I'm running with are illegal (emu) but I really dont care. I'm going to have fun, not to try and call everyone out on there illegal mods.

for example I would like to delete my a/c, cruse control and relocate my fuse box and abs to the fender wells to clean things up a bit but no... its illegal.
Why would you do those things? So the internetz think you are cool? Or because it makes the car faster?

If you don't like the rules, don't play in the sandbox.

They are going to bring jigs to check the fenders. J/K.

You have to draw the line some where. If you can do something someone will then everyone will think they have to also even if they don't really want to.

If you removed your a/c then everyone would think they have too. No a/c in Texas is no fun. (just an example)

There will be no leniency at all.

If the outer contour of the fender has changed AT ALL - the fender is illegal. There is absolutely no allowance for relocating bumper tabs. The only allowance is rolling of the inner fender for tire clearance, thats it, thats all.

This came up in Blytheville - turns out the 255's don't really fit on an MX-5...

I'm not sure why anyone would want to run 45mm offset anyway - it makes the car almost 2" wider than a car with a 63mm offset...
Good thing to hear, and I'm glad we're on the same page. I always err on the side of being conservative anyway.

The reason why I mentioned +45 and fender mods is because I foresee a lot of people sticking RPF1s on their car, finding out that they rub, then doing illegal modifications to make them work. This can't be allowed or condoned in any way, shape, or form. We must maintain the integrity of the class from the get-go.

Because most 17x9/8.5 wheels come with this or similar offsets, unfortunately. A +45 seems more readily available, at least at the moment.

The only three options I can think of that are the proper offset are OEM AP2's, 6ULR's that are not out yet, or the ASA's (discontinued?) mentioned early on in this thread.

Speaking of which, I didn't get much response to a question I posted earlier about rubbing issues w/+45's. Is the rubbing really that bad if the inner lips are properly rolled and the car isn't super low?

You sure complain about the rules a lot. If you run in EMod, you can do just about anything you want.

I'm completely sure that you can't, unless you have a 2008/2009 S2000 CR.

It must be a factory option. Every S2000 prior to the CR came standard with A/C.
