There are two MX-5 front bars. I believe most of us have used the soft top one which is softer than the hard top (convertible) one.

Posted here before, but here it is again. Photos certainly help.

You slot the MX-5 bracket bolt holes to move the bar down to clear the S2000 diff bolts.

note for guys with aftermarket headers-

Check your header nuts all the time. I've had a squeak at 1500 rpms and couldn't figure it out. I tightened all the header nuts today and realized I was missing one and 3 of them were 1/2 turn loose. The noise is now gone. All I have to do now is fix this wheel bearing and I'll be good to go.

On a related note it sounded like I picked up an exhaust leak and found one of my cat to exhaust nuts gone. Had them tight when I put the exhaust on!

On another related note, when removing fuel rail, don't drop the stupid 10mm nut...
I have NO idea where that thing went, looked for an hour and didn't find it. Took the car for a spin and didn't hear anything funky, so I'm hoping its sitting somewhere in Orlando.

I have only had this issue with exhaust systems that had lots of drone like the t1r 70-em.

No issues with my greedy se or mugen header so far

Does anyone on here with 04-05 or just in general have any experience with Greddy E-manage and the STR bolt ons even if on a different car etc... I am debating just going ahead and getting the car tuned with emanage + berk 3 inch exhaust + berk header. I do not think I am gonna be able to take the time off to make any of the remaining tours and locally no one will care, but I am curious what success people have had with E-manage. It seems like it should be able to get all the gains of flashpro but for the 04-05s.

Also does anyone know about the harnesses, I read that the standard greddy harness for the AP2 does not have the VTEC oil pressure connection, but the boomslang one does come with everything needed. Can anyone verify this?

My gendron bar is still in the works so I have needed something else to occupy my time.

Im also interested if the greddy emanage blue for my ap1 with bolt ons such as header/intake/exhaust is worth it. Im mostly looking to lower vtec for autox. What are you guys with flashpro lowering vtec too ? Im thinking around 4,500rpms for my ap1.

Things learned so far this weekend:
1. Hankooks only work in sunlight and have the highest ultimate grip.
2. 245/40 hankooks work better than 255/40 kooks when temps are below 65F
3. R1Rs are the best rain / cold tire, but suck balls when temps get into the 80's
4. Dunlops are the best all around tire. They work cold and hot. However, in temps above 80 should be sprayed regularly. (hankooks still have better grip when it's hot outside).
5. If people around you in grid are swapping tires... You should also swap tires.
6. Robert Thorne and James Yom are phenomenal drivers.
7. I always make the wrong decisions.
