^ Yes I do the laundry and you turn the wrench. I think Jay and I have some video from two weeks ago at the middle GA event on dead Yokos and one run from last weekend. I really think the car is coming together well; all the folks that drove it this weekend where able to put down smoking times included a friend who had never driven an S2000 before. I'm still adjusting after driving an ST Civic from last year and not trusting the car yet.

TR Motorsport C3 wheels are in stock. 17x9 +62 @ 19.1lbs

$159 each.

I decided to pass because I have 2 sets of 17x8.5" wheels at 20lbs and another set at 15lbs. I'm going to wait for my 949 wheels. If those TR wheels had been 17 or 18lbs I would have bought them instead of the 949's.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm torn right now. Was there a final word on the weight of the 949's? The website says 17/18

Sorta unrelated, but I drove an BS prepped S2000 CR yesterday (Pete Loney) on Kumhos and absolutely love that car. Stock shocks too. Pretty damn impressive car.

Adjustible FSB arrived today for the MX-5 but my co-driver Henry is going to Hawaii for the weekend so no testing this weekend. Bummed.
Wait, so you are joining the STR fray (sorta)? BTW, you have a PM.

Finally aligned the car today. I was at nearly 4 degrees of camber in the rear and 3.something up front (did I mention the car is low?). Fixed all that and got the toe settings right. Going to try
Front:
-2.5
0” toe
Rear:
-2
3/16” toe in

Still at 750lb/in front, 700lb/in rear. 1.5” front bar and no rear bar. I think I’m gaining a bunch of rear spring rate by pretty much resting on the rear bump stops (I have a shock travel issue that needs to be addressed). So if the car is still too loose this weekend I’ll look into bumping up the front spring rate a little.

Also, the exhaust is still stock for this weekend, but any of you so-cal guys know if there will be a sound meter I can borrow at El Toro? I’d like to find out if the new exhaust is over the limit without wasting a day driving to San Diego.

Jim, 3/16 isn't much toe. Add more before messing with springs in the front.

3/16" is a lot of toe. We have 0 toe in our car on both ends, and the car is very neutral according to the 6 people that have driven it. I would think that adding more toe than 3/16" would not be a good thing.

Here's a vid of that event for those of you who may be interested.

Matt,
It sounded like a down shift or two was in order for a couple last turns near the finish.

What exhaust? All you can hear is intake. If you get a chance it would be nice to get a sound meter read on that exhaust for others trying to decide.

If you are resting on the bump stops that would create quick tire over load and loose rear end. I would raise the back end to test that or shorten the shock body before upping the front roll stiffness to fix the back end.

[QUOTE=BrianGT,Mar 9 2010, 05:56 PM] 3/16" is a lot of toe.
