Seems to me that the current proposal doesn't go far enough for parity for all S2000s despite the fact that they are so similar otherwise.

Well said, Matt.

I'm still in the camp of all or none, but will take any step in the right direction. Yes, I can be a bit selfish.

YEAH! Let's all send in letters that allow us to gut our soft tops next... That will make the CR pointless!

Just kidding guys....

Anyone need some 800lb springs? I've got a full set of hyperco's that came on my clubsports that I won't be using. I'm more than willing to split the set and also willing to let them go for a more than fair price as I have no use for them.

I'm also willing to trade for 700lb hyperco or swift springs as long as they are 2.5" ID and 5.5"-6" tall.

I figure some of you hardcore autocross guys might be able to make better use of the springs.

I submitted three different responses due to the content in the latest Fastrack.

I have been playing around with Jason Rhoades comparative vehicle dynamics thrust calculations and it has really gone to show me how big the tune is for the car.
I agree ... I found out Jon's CR (the flashed CR your referring to) had about an inch of toe out when he put it on the alignment after Blytheville. The car was extremely loos everywhere and I suspected something was wrong. Jon had it looked at as soon as he got back. I have driven this same car before at one of their local events and it was more stable. I have driven many other STR prepped S2000s along with my own B-Stock prepped S2000 with the flash. IMO, power isn't what makes the S2000 fast. The car's ability to dance is it's greatest strength. Trying to set this car up to acceleration from one point to the next will slow it down. Adjusting the car for smooth mid range power would be my goal. Everyone has their own preference, this is just my .02

No,it's really annoying when people don't think before they post.
It's a lot harder than it used to be, but you can fix this by doing the following:
  • Click on your name in the top right corner of the screen
  • Click "My Settings"
  • Click "Profile"
  • Click "Manage Ignored Users"
  • Type "josh7owens" into the text box and make sure "Ignore Posts" is checked
  • Click "Save Changes"
Voila, problem solved.
Hahaha, thanks for the tip Steve. Now that Josh is more informed, I'll give him a shot before I "ignore" him. I know he means well. And I don't think I'm that much of a d!ck, at least I hope no one thinks I am.

Has anyone tried the 245/40 kook? I am leaning towards this for the stretched sidewall and slight gearing improvement. Whats everyones thoughts?
I'd stick to the 255s. The 245s transition better, but don't have quite the ultimate grip in sweepers. Also, the 245s are similar in height/gearing, so no real gearing advantage.

Is it a bad thing to pick up the front inside wheel while turning?

I wouldn't think it ideal, but how do you keep it on the ground?

Well, any wheel not on the ground is not helping your traction circle, so I say, not great, but it is a side effect of your setup.

If you have a stiff front and soft rear, this is common. One way to keep this from happening is to use stiffer front springs relative to your front swaybar and/or use the rear sway bar. It's not as simple as this, but generally this should get you in the right direction.

It doesn't even look like it's off the ground in that photo.
