Yeah with 300 lb-ft of torque, the Stang GT must walk from a Ferrari 360 with only 274lb-ft of torque......

Also the Z8 with 368 lb-ft of torque should smoke a Ferrari 360.....

Odd because they are speed limited to 137. (excepting the 01's and 02's which would put bus lengths on you at any speed with your listed horsepower).
My car is not stock if you have read the previous posts, the chip cuts speed limiter, mine is a 02 BTW

Of course with enough $$ you can make any car fast -- but stock for stock the GTI has nothing on the ITR. It accelerates much slower, stops much slower, corners much slower. It does have a nice interior though.
All i have is a downpipe, CAI, chip spent no more than $1000, at least you are right about the interior

Is that flywheel or at the wheels? If it aint at the wheels you would be lucky to hang with a stock GSR.
Its to the wheels, dont make me bust out my dyno chart.

-Steve (who sometimes reads the VW boards to get a good chuckle).

Steve here is few pointers, you should go back to visit the VW boards so you can learn your facts. Dont come onto here talking crap about a car you dont even own nor driven. Yes, i can speak for a stock Type R because i have ridden, seen dynos, and have experience with the tuning of. I dont doubt they are fast with they are tuned up, but i have raced a lot of them and have beaten them. Maybe they are all stock You happy now

cravnpup yes 22 PSI stock turbo i KNOW

I believe he was referring to the M Coupe, which (like my M3) has a speed limiter that prematurely cuts in on the fun at 137mph...

Even with the denon rev limiter the car still won't see much beyond 140, it's outta gear.

Don't forget the adjustible sway bars Cravnpup, coil-overs with the stockers would probably be a bad thing. You drove it with it 2/4 in front and 1/3 stiff in back --- at the full settings it pushes a bit more but boy is it flat.

Well I will say this, that I have never raced one off the line, but on the free ways many O' times.
I didnt know what this last teggy had on it, but it was yellow and appeared lowered, well lets just say that it gave me a run for my money unitll we hit 100 or so mph after that I just walked all over the thing.
I also had the top down and a passanger in the car.

my best friend has a type r.. it is WAY slower.. no competition.. it is not one of those "depends whose better driver" races.. the s2000's average driver will beat a type r's pro driver.. hands down.. end of story.. over and over again..probably put multiple cars on him too... two of my good friends have itr's.. 01 yellow and 01 black.. both lose terribly... good drivers also.
