Asif, you're right, I'm just kidding ..
It is kind of funny though, when we first started out on our trip we could barely fit our luggage in the trunk. During the trip we bought, what felt like, a whole lot of stuff but somehow we managed to have space left in the trunk when we got home. We almost suspected that we had lost some of our luggage on the trip but everything was there. I suppose there are some gains to make by increasing ones packing skills

I'm not sure what the implication is here.

I can't endure long drives in any car, especially in hot conditions.. I can go around 5 hours (I think that's the max I have driven at one period at a time, Toronto to Ottawa.) and then I'll feel cramped and downright uncomfortable.. Even in a luxo boat, I can only take so much driving..

Big Ben:

A couple things:

1) Congrats! That's a sweet car you have there, it should give you a ton of enjoyment.

2) Are you aware of the North Texas club we've put together?

You got the car just in time - our next meet is to catch the fireworks on Friday. (Plus some food to die for.)

You and the wife should stop by.

My wife of 33 years and I are taking the S2000 in August from central Ohio, with stops in Syracuse, NY, New Hampshire and Maine. Then to Boston, and Gettsburg, PA and by our daughter's college in Huntingdon, PA, then home.

We figure we only have one midlife crisis to live, so we might as well live it in style! If our old fannies can take it, why, any of you young guys should be coasting on a long trip!

I did 34 hours non stop in the S as part of a 9000 mile road trip last summer...I was in New orleans and had to make my roommate from college's bachelor party in lake tahoe

I also put in 2-3 12+ hour sessions in addition...

It wasn't that bad comfort-wise....with the exception of a little lumbar support problem, which I fixed with a small pillow. I think the fun factor of having the little roadster, and getting almost 30 MPG on the trip made up for not taking a larger, more comfortable vehicle...but to each his own.

However, I had the hardtop on the car, and it cuts down a lot on raodnoise.

After picking my car up from the paint shop, I drove 12 hours from 6PM to 6AM, worst time to do it since I had no sleep the previous night, but I made it fine and it wasn't too bad except that my exhaust droned on, oh yeah, I also forgot my faceplate to my CD player, so I had no music which kinda sucked.

My first ride was 22 hours, 1400 miles. Denver to Atlanta area. 11am Denver time to 11am Atlanta time. I enjoyed dodging tumbleweed zipping across I70 in Kansas while I was traveling 85mph.

Ive got an 8 hour drive from Mass to PA in August. Im looking forward to it. Its normally a 5 to 6 hour ride but I do plan to stop a few times to stretch out. The muscles can get a bit cramped, but thats true in any car, just a tad more so in the S in my opinion.
