2007 Honda s2000 blown engine STOCK
man this story just makes me paranoid of buying from a hyundai dealership potentially.. thinking of forking out the dough for certified used now...
curious, how was the condition of the car visually? and cost of the car? interior and exterior mint?
holy O@#U$)U i just realized this is a 9 page thread... reading through it now.

I am buying a used AP1 or AP2 myself pretty soon, and the car I am buying may be older, and have higher mileage than this one.
I guess we could learn from the OP and be more diligent when inspecting the vehicle. Of course, once we are sure that the car is fine and proceed to make the purchase, request the dealer to NOT change any fluid on the car. If the car checks fine during buyer's inspection, the dealer by making alterations to the car may damage it. This is especially the case if this is a Hyundai dealer which doesn't have parts and resources to work on a honda vehicle.

Ok, 'Kang' here's more help:
--GET AN ATTORNEY (How many times have you heard this?)
--Get an independent mechanic to look at the car. YOU ARE NOT QUALIFIED, nor will the dealership listen to you. I mean '4 holes'... You can't talk to these people like this and have them take you seriously!!
--No pictures is NO HELP TO US HERE!! We're all guessing based on what you think (that's scary).
--Contact someone from the local forums and ask them to help you IN PERSON, and stop asking us. (They're at the bottom of the forums page)
--DO tell us how it plays out, we're all concerned, but we can't solve or troubleshoot this online.. I'd think you'd understand this after all the posts you've made/gotten without your car being fixed...
Good luck.

for all we know, if you over-revved it, you might not even know.
i mean, hell, you take a corner in neutral...

Honestly?? You read 9 pages of people trying to help this guy out and all it makes you want to do is post stupid shit like this

tell me how you know for a fact that he actually didn't over-rev the engine?

you want to start a war of words, take it to PM. a$$h0le.
So apparently the OP wants to buy a new (used) engine for his car...

Yeah, some members have suggested that route, as it may be cheaper than hiring an attorney or repairing his current engine.
An AP2 long block could go for anywhere around $1,500 to $4,000 depending on content, mileage, and history.

Here are some pics of what I saw underneath the oil pan:
Notice, cylinder #4 has some metal shavings protruding from it. Anyone want to guess what's wrong here?
Also remember guys, that my motor is seized as well, but this confirms damage to head I'm assuming. Thanks for the help everyone:

Tiny metal shavings, only like 3-4 pieces here when we took it out.

All the other 3 cylinders had 0 visible damage, here is cylinder with the little pieces of metal shaving protruding.

Other then this, the motor is seized and had no visible damage in all of the other cylinders
Please help diagnose this, much appreciated.
