Girls love me because they think I'm cool and have lots of money. I don't tell them I saved for 5 years working in the back of Dairy Queen. When a really nice, cheap S2000 came along, I was a little short but my dad loaned me the rest of the money cause I promised I'd go back and finish school. I told him I'm going to be a doctor one day. He wanted to buy me a Benz AMG but I said an S2000 will do.
I've already got my next mod planned. Carbon fiber everything baby! Means I'll have to flip a few more burgers but it's so worth it to look so cool. Mind you, I can't see past next Tuesday and there's this even taller wing with an "F1" sticker on the ends that ought to get me a few more girls. And really, anyone over the age of 35 has no business driving a car like this. You should be driving a Prius and saving my planet.
Oh, and yeah ............................... I AM all that!
You, Sir are lying about your age. I saw your name in an Indianapolis phone directory in the 1980s.

I am now 20. I purchased my S when i was 18 and was very proud about it.
Age is just a number and stereotypes put on a car or a certain age is just ridiculous.

I'll be 37 in another 2 months. I'm suprised by how many owners are under 30.

I just wanted to add my 2 cents into this. I'm 24, young compared to a lot of you, but I feel like I'm a bit more "mature" than a lot of people my age (please don't take this is me being cocky/arrogant). I self admittedly came up from the civic crowd (I daily drive a bone stock 91 CRX) and always dreamed of an s2k since I was in high school. I've been through a TON of Honda's including Del Sols, Civic, Prelude and multiple CRXs. Once I earned my degree, I promised myself I'd always get my dream car and I finally did.

I could easily mod it since having this new job would allow me (financially) to do so, but I know that since I really don't have a good feel for the car, well it's something I still need to learn. I've been tempted at getting suspension mods, intake/exhaust mods already, but in my head it just doesn't sit right. I kind of feel like I "owe" the s2k some respect and really master the car while stock, and really understand the feel of how Honda wanted me to experience the car before I completely change the handling characteristics, or mess with increased power.

I've been lurking this site for a while now and yes, it does seem like a newer crowd is setting in. But I say it doesn't matter how old you are, as long as you show some love/respect for the s2k and keep that attitude going. All the arguing/bickering is taking away from the "spirit" of the site no matter how old you are. I'm sure 99% of you wouldn't trash talk (for those of you who do) in real life, but for that 1%, say it to my face and I'll arm bar you (kidding) = p. Ok, I'll get off my soap box now. It's going to be 69 degrees, 0% chance of rain and sunny. Gonna go drive my S2000.

I'm a 27 year old female and I've had my daily driver Civic for 10 years. I loved s2000s since they first came out, test drove one in 2007, and bought mine in 09. I don't drive like a douche on the roads b/c my good friend was killed in a "street racing" accident 9 years ago. I would love to take my car to an autocross in the future but I might be too chicken to do it

27 here.
I too sometimes feel that this car is still too pretty for my age. Always thought roadsters looked better on 40+ ages I don't know why..
At the same time, me being getting older and older (still young yet) makes me think I might need to consider something more comfortable until I can afford 2nd car. But not quite yet
Then again, I feel like I should enjoy such a beautiful car at young age when I can really appreciate it.

So I am keeping her until I reach the point I can't justify it anymore.

I am 22 and graduating from college in 6 days. I agree that the maturity of the new owners is low. Although age doesn't represent maturity you would have to be ignorant if you didn't see a correlation between the two. I bought the S because as someone else previously said in the forum, it is the best bang for your buck for under 45k (when buying new). In addition I fell in love with the S2000 when I was autocrossing my previous car. Also, when I was researching cars the s2000 owners seemed like a much better group than all the others I was comparing (RX8,350z, ect). You aren't going to find a better group for a Japanese car except maybe the NSX but lets be honest the two are the same group half the time. With that said it is sad to see the maturity of the group come into question.

I just hope I am not part of the problem. I don't really see the mods as the problem but just the owner. Although I find that younger s2000 owners seem to be much more mature than other import car owners of the same age, I still frequently can see a maturity difference between the groups. i do however think that having to pay for membership in this forum cleans it up A LOT. I don't think the car should be owned by anyone under 18 or maybe even 20 just because of how unforgiving the vehicle is to inexperienced drivers or people who let their guard down. Their are of course exceptions but I would not let my kid own the car even until they are 20 unless I spent a great deal of time with them training them how to drive and sending them to some sort of performance driving school. I am not the perfect driver but I believe that since I had a good deal of autox experience before and after owning the S that I know where the cars limits are as well as my own.

I hope all you kids are having as much fun with your S2000 as I am.

I turned 71 a few months back, then my son "borrowed" the 300+ BHP Triumph TR8, with its hot 4.6L V8, & took it to Sydney with him.
My TR7, that I restored 10 years ago is a nice car, but lacks a bit of oomph, after the 8, & besides bending over the fender to tune the carbs
is getting hard these days.

When I realised how much I missed the 8's performance, I went looking for a replacement, & it had to be a convertible. I bought & resold 4 modern cars,
trying to find something I liked, before a mate mentioned the S2000, which I had totally forgotten. I've never seen one out here in country Queensland.

Well they are seeing plenty of mine, I've done 1500Km in the 3 weeks since I bought it, & they have to prise me out of it, to do anything useful.

I must take the Triumph for a run soon, or it will start to sulk, & throw it's carbs out of tune, but right now fun is a little yellow Honda.
