Just got my S2000 last week. I've never had a car stolen, but I'm nervous about this one

I'm considering Lo-Jack (with just the recovery system & starter disabler -- the other options seem like overkill to me).

Any advice is welcome.

radams,

The first thing to remember is that your car does have some protection built in. The car won't start without the key in the ignition because there is a computer chip in the key. That is some level of protection against the weekend hacker car thief. The only way someone is going to get your car is to flatbed it or tow it, and if they want it bad enough that's what's gonna happen. I DID get Lojack in mine so I'm not opposed to the idea. There seems to be mixed feelings on this board about it's effectiveness though. I hope I never have to find out.

Check out this topic here:

If you do a search for "lojack", there are a couple of other ones.

BTW. Don't bother getting one!

My apologies for not searching first.
