Saki...our FAQ is very robust...but it's a bit info overload for the newby asking, "What's the differences between the years".

Perhaps a "summary" that can be reviewed on a single page that spans all years similar to the HT FAQ. Then with links to details on the differences...like the colors.

I dont get it. Why is it so hard for kids to admit that they are spoiled?
Whats wrong with that? I wish I was spoiled

Anytime you see a teen driving a nice car, you know that their parents paid for it. Nobody thinks, "wow, that 17 year old must be really good at making money."

if you and many others are like him, you would never feel the need to defend your own car, or make partial judgements, and would be fully aware of what a newer S2K offers, and respect that.
I think that many ap1 owners feel compelled to defend their choice after mischaracterizations and puffing of the superiority of the ap2 base on a belief that each later year must be an evolutionary improvement (which is as much an opinion as ap1 owners who say the ap2 is soft). The ap2 is better for some uses and the ap1 is better in others. It's pretty rare to see an ap2 owner give props to the ap1 as having some attributes that are superior to the ap2...at least not without sounding a bit condecending. Usually it starts with: The ap1 is a great car...but...

The AP1 is a great car, and we can all have our own personal preference, but when it starts to get defensive and turn into BS conversation, that's where I have to come in and speak my peace.
I have to ask...who on this thread was getting defensive or starting to BS about ap1s that lead to your post blasting ap1 owners? It seems the only 2 ap1 owners contributing to the thread (and not flaming the kid for having a cool dad) were both recommending that he buy the newest he could afford and especially a VSA car.

Well, historically, AP1 owners have been somewhat defensive of their cars and outright lambasted AP2s as "soft", but the truth is each iteration has made the car more complete, whether people like that or not. Performance numbers are practically identical no matter hwat year S you have. The S has had an evolutionary life, but some people like what they have, or the "less evolved" versions of the car. The fact is, we all benefit from the choice of the same car in different flavors, so you can choose what you like best and run with that.

That said, this is turning into a versus debate, and thats not what we promote here.
