The US 7878 doesn't have the required jack in the back to utilize the KCE-865B hardwired adapter...

Davies2k, I have a CDA 7876 that I hooked up in June. I've got full dash controls with no complaints.

The mute button install is described in a post of mine on this thread:

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...?threadid=35341

For the other controls, I used a PAC SWI-3, the 3.3 kohm resistor and instructions from MacGyver's page. I've done no cutting on the stock harness. It seems like some of the resistances are "right on the edge" so sometimes when I programmed the PAC unit, I didn't get all the controls, but once I got it to take, it has stuck.

Mute triggers the CDA-7876 "interrupt" which pauses the cd and mutes all speakers. This is better than the "mute" on the radio which cuts sound 20 db.

Volume up and down do the same. "Audio Control" cycles between "tuner" and "cd" for me. CH either advances one track in "cd" source, and scans up in "tuner" mode.

No complaints. Contact me for more help if you need it.

Barry
