Anyone have any more recent observations on this?

Has anyone come up with a better solution than heating and removing the existing button, or modifying a "standard" cam lock style mount?

I got Ricks full hieght wind screen in the tinted variety. Hey ya know what at night time it acts as a head light dimmer for the rear view Mirror. Two mods in one! Works great! Blocks wind and dims headlights! AWESOME!
