Perfect. I have 33,000 miles on my stook, and it's running just fine. Stock clutch (haven't even replaced synchro yet), and I've been launching high for a year and a half.

Harry, first thing I noticed was that the throttle response with the new setup was very slow (hate it).
I'm a little worried that the engine sees a lean condition when transitioning between hard vacuum condition to boost.

Called Comptech, and Shad suggested I reset ECU and drive it for a day to see if the computer would adapt.
Well, ten minutes into the drive, I started getting the old hesitation problem back again

THIS SUCKS!!!!!!!!

Haven't had a chance to call yet today but I will.

I'm running on a temp setup right now with an extra check in parallel that works OK.
We'll see what they say.

Man, those Comptech guys don't fvck around when it comes to customer service!

Called Shad and he's thinking maybe the check valve they sent was defective so he is going all out and sending me an entire assembly UPS Red Saturday Delivery to make sure my weekend is filled with positive intake manifold pressure.

Nice to see the premium price comes with extra premium Customer Service

I hope this works

Sorry to hear about the snafu, RT.

I put my check valve in this morning and also reset the ECU before I drove it. Throttle response feels better than stock (from what I remember - only had stock for 1.5 months before SC).

All is well in SC land with me! I have also been bitten a little bit by the V-AFC bug, and am now thinking about getting one to tweak some more HP.

Harry, from a thread earlier today:

It's in the Helm manual some place too but buried.

I just took the battery terminals off, then put em back on. That was also on an earlier thread. Make sure you have your radio code handy + plus you have to reset time and stations if you do it this way.

I cannot say for sure that helped, but it didn't hurt.

Helm Manual page 11-4 (How to Reset the ECM)

No radio code needed

I had my check valve installed today and everything seems fine so far. I am not sure about the throttle response but seems to respond as soon as I give it gas, except when I am in 4th or higher and about 4K RPM or below. It seems to strain alittle and takes a while to get going. But in 1st, 2nd and 3rd the car just takes off. So, I am not sure if I should mess with something that is working so far. I drove it back from Pleasanton (60 miles roughly) in all types of conditions, open road, stop and go traffic, mountain highway with lots of cars and city driving. All seems fine and the car is responding quite well. I have not heard the harmonic however the airbox sure is noisey with its hum.

Let me know what you guys think about resetting the ECU.
