"Bieg's Law"
Bieg has a valid point... true. However, I've been a member of this forum for about 1.5 years and one of the first posts I read back then was Bieg shoving his non-modding religion down over people's throat. We get the point already so why keep bringing it up over and over again???
Personally when my 02 S2000 arrived, I ripped off the windshield tape at the dealer while the techs were prepping it. I also installed my Red H Badges. Then it literally went from dealer to a local audio shop and they tore the rear apart to install my audio system. At the same time, I had my calipers powdercoated, headlights cleared and other things put on. And I plan to do more with my car.
Do I care about resale value??? Not really as I do not plan to ever sell my S2000. It will be the first and most cherished of my personal stable. However if I do decide to sell for whatever reason, everything that I have done or plan to, can be reversed and the car brought back to stock condition. So I ask you then, what difference it make if one chooses to mod or not? If my car is stock in the end, I will still receive the some amount as you. Unless one goes very extreme and starts drilling and cutting, most mod can be reversed.
So my point is who cares? For me, keeping it stock is blah and boring. I want to mod my car because I want to, enjoy it and have fun doing so. If you enjoy and have fun by keeping your car stock then more power to you. Afterall, isn't enjoyment and fun why we all own the S2000 in the first place?

[B]How much fun do you think this guy is having?

I am sure when he installed it he was only thinking about the couple extra HP he might gain and the cool intake sound that everyone was raving about.
He probably didn't think about the bent valves and rods that a hydrolocked engine can cause or all the thousands of dollars it is going to cost him because the warranty is not going to cover it.
Of course someone like me that actually mentions that this is one of the downsides of that type of mod gets shouted down by the herd.
There are a lot of people on this board that would like to post but after seeing some of the reactions here to opinions that don't go along with the vocal majority are intimidated into silence.
