I love my s, but best best base for a car for between $65 k-$85 k? Best base for it's price, absolutely. But if we are talking about speed and handling irrespective of price up to $85k it will not win.

Yea, just like Ford owns Jaguar, so therefore you should dis' a Ford Escort if you have a Jaguar. And Chevy make the Z06 Corvette, so....that means Chevettes are 'all in the family' too...

I don't see the connection. The cars share no parts, are made in completely different plants, are completely different to drive, and have a HUGE price difference. Noone should be high and mighty over anyone else, regardless of car make since a car doesn't make a person, but to say that the reason is because they are in the same family is silly in my opinion.

its just cuz he dont have one and wants to be *in the family*

i think s2000 is closer to nsx than the gsr is to the s2000.

6-speed
rwd
2seaters
dual exhaust

integ vs s2000

Im not saying that there equal in performance or there alike in any way . I know that an s2000 has better handling is faster and so on than a gsr . When i bought my gsr it was 21,000 bucks brand new so there is a big price difference but comparring a chevvette to a corvette is not what i meant. I meant to repsect integras.preludes, and civics and dont think that since your car costmore than the above means that you should look down on us with fwd dohc vtec. im not putting down owners of s2000 s just wish some would realize to respect fwd dohc vtec or maybe you will when you see my acura symbol flying by u. Peace

I own a 2001 Type R and I raced my brother in his S2K last summer, at a stoplight. By the end of third gear, my front tires were at his rear bumper. It's faster, yes, but it was close. However, when we do some spirited driving down some backroads or around some deserted highway on/off ramps (early morning), it seems to be an even match, coming down mostly to driver. If I were you, KwAktHeDucK, I would get the S2k, you won't be dissapointed. I always say that if my car is stolen, I'm heading right over to the Honda dealer for a Spa Yellow S2K!

You would think that with 40 more hp, the ITR wouldn't be nearly that close of a match to an s2k. Yes the driver does play a role, but in a straight line acceleration, with equal driver skills, there should be at least a car length of difference between the two cars.
