You've heard the gist of it all. There are two basic versions. The one without AC and radio and the one with them added. There is no further super secret ultra light version waiting in the wings. It is estimated that there will be 500 takers for the lighter version with the AC and radio removed, which makes it the rarer car.

 

The AC and Radio are options. Honda product planner said they will build as many as they can sell. There are only projections on volume, not limitations on what they will build.

Anyone know if the new dash will be standard on the 2008 regular S2000 or is it only for the CR?

 

There are two versions of the car from the factory. The radio and AC are not dealer installed options on this model. Just to clarify.

 

If I see this at any of the s2ki meets I won't know whether to laugh at the car or the driver. Seriously. This is the worst thing Honda could've done for the S. Are underbody neon lights a factory option on this?? You can't go for a top-down cruise if there's the slightest chance of rain in the forecast either. At least it still has that neck-breaking 162lb-ft torque @ 6800!

Don't mean to here, but there was so much hype over the S2000CR and to me it was all for nothing. I still love the S2000 though. The Club Ricer can go.

 

Please go troll somewhere else. This is not the worst thing Honda could've done and in fact they imporved on the S2000. If you are too blind or too stupid to see how they imporved the car then I feel bad for you.
