Is anyone considering trading their relatively new S2000 for the new CR?

It looks like Honda has made a major effort to make the car a solid track car. If you are an active autocrosser and time-trialer then it would be the S2000 variant to have, but not otherwise. At $38,000, if this is a real sticker price, the performance upgrades would be worth it, as the base S2000's are stickering out at around $35,000 in my area. (This isn't to say that you can't "deal down" from that.) The 2.0 L. listed is just a typo.

At a total importation batch of 1,500 units that's, on average, 30 units per state. Divide that by the number of Honda dealers in your state and that will probably come out to no more than several CR's allocated to each dealer for the production run. This may make it very hard to "deal down" for a better price. (And then again, maybe not if the cars don't "move" off the dealer's lot after awhile.) On the flip side, the CR should be quite competitive on the track against the Porsche Boxters, the BMW Z3's and Z4's and base Corvettes --- at many, many thousands of $$$ less. Probably the way to go if you are a hard-core competitor and can make the financial "jump."

We'll just have to see . . . . . .

S2000's don't sell equally well in all states. Probably 1/3 of all sales occur in California and Hawaii and another 1/3 in Caribbean Gulf states (Texas to South Carolina). CR's will be distributed accordingly.

I was told by Marysville Honda that they have a GPW CR on order no A/C and radio delete

They say it is due to be delivered on October 1st. I would assume the West Coast will be at least a week earlier
Is it here yet?
