I don't see why everyone is knocking the car? Honda did all the mods everyone does on here?

Spoiler, Wheels, tires, body kits, wings, seats, shift knobs, color stitching that does not match the color of the car, stiff suspension.

So now that Honda does what most people on here do their own car this one sucks?
It's the execution of the mods, all put together.

Why is VSA still in the "club racer" edition? First thing any club racer would do is disable VSA when they hit the tracks.
That's the other model

I don't see the difference. Most people do the same mods here and look like ballz.

Ranted a bit about the car on my blog (including an open letter to Honda which will never be read ). Check it out if you're so inclined.

Well other than some of the people on here spend way more for their body kits and spoilers.

Honda does the same thing, and the "perception" is that it's bad.

You ever think the reason Honda did it this was is because all this crap is exactly what people buy and put on their cars on this forum.

Or at least a large part of the modders.

I'm very unimpressed.

Body kit is UGLY.
New seats are UGLY.
Wheels are UGLY.

If they just did a clean looking lip kit, clean looking 17" wheels, lower/stiffer suspension, dropped weight (90lbs? wtf? they should've been able to lose that without losing the soft top..), and replaced the center panels of the seats with Alcantara they would've been golden. Nobody would've been blown away, but at least it wouldn't have been a huge disappointment like this..

Optimistically I was hoping for a shorter final drive + taller sixth gear

I actually don't see many (actually none) S2000's at track events/HPDEs with wings and body kits. So for a track-specific model, that crap doesn't fit what most people do.

Yes, the stiffer suspension is great, but EASILY reproducable. The additional brace will also most likely be EASILY reproducable.

There's nothing SPECIAL about the CR. It's just parts bolted onto a stock S2K, which removes a lot of the value in getting one. The great honda's in the past had changes that were NOT easily reproducable, additional bracing in the top, different, unique subframes, etc.

This car doesn't, it's a kit bolted to a stock car, nothing more.

In other words, it's a A-Spec type abortion, except uglier.
