People confuse the term redline with rev limiter.

A lot of nuts hanging over 800 RPMs.

It's not about an extra 800 or 1000 revolutions per minute . It's about how the car feels, sure the extra amount of revs add to a different feel, but how come America gets the dumb down version of the s2k when other countries kept the high revving f20 after 2003? I happen to like the notchy feel of the ap1 gear box it makes me feel like I'm actually driving something I didn't get that same connection in the ap2. Don't get me wrong its a great car but its just NOT the same. Would I drive one sure. But if I had to choose, I would really need a lot of seat time in both versions. But as of right now ap1 for the win. I'm not too concerned about updated bumpers and some extra storage here and there. I bought the S because its a drivers car . And because I got an once in a lifetime deal LOL

Correct me if I'm wrong, but while the motor remained the same everywhere else but America, did Europe and others see the spring rate and sway bar changes like the USA did? I was under the impression they did receive all the other things with the exception of the F22C.

I also wonder if they got the revised transmission (I'd imagine they did.)

Other places got f20c2 motor when they upgraded, spring rates and all the stuff I think were the same per year around the world.

Japan switched to the F22C1 in 2006, everywhere else except the USA still used the standard F20C

As an AP2 owner, I envy two things about the AP1:

1. Higher rev

2. Lighter weight

everything else, the AP2 is better.
- cup holders
- looks just a tad better (headlamps, taillamps, front bumper, rear bumper)
- gearbox is smoother
- torqueless wonder isn't as noticeably lacking torque

The one thing that sucks is, no inexpensive ECU mods since I have a '04.
