Default the gooey sticky stuff from tape

I installed the lucid rear speaker thingy last summer and had used "paint tape" (you know, the blue tape that you get at home depot to mask off trim and stuff when you paint the inside of your house) to mask off parts of the dash when I was prying open the stereo cover assembly. Well, ever since I did that I can't get the "residue" from the tape off of my dash. There's like a kind of gooey smear on the dash where the tape was. And I tried wiping it off with some cleanser and a cloth and it doesn't come off. Any suggestions?

There's a product called "Adhesive Remover." Smells like oranges, works great. Says it's fine on all kinds of surfaces, but I'd test it first on a place that isn't visible. Wipe it on, let it sit for 20 seconds or so, and that adhesive goo wipes right off.
