Well, I got my 2002 sebring with 55,000 miles, 1 owner from a Honda dealer a few months ago for around $14k. 1 owner and stock was important to me. Plus I had $14k in my PayPal account fro. EBay sales, so I paid cash.

2006 83k miles.

Have not yet emailed them to talk price but it is a bit nicer carfax owners wise.

IronChef: I also think that price is decent for the car, from a dealership and considering this time of year. They are hard to come by with 1 owner, complete records, etc. It might be possible to find a similar one at a lower price, but that could take a really long time, if at all. True it's a bit of a premium, but up to you if it's worth it.

atomicrm: The 2006 Laguna looks great from the pics, might want to thoroughly check that one out. You should also see if they'll come down a little on price, given the mileage.

I have emailed them about it.Would be nice if it wasnt 3 hours away. would be easier to check it out. Carfax says that the spolier, lojack and window tint was done by the dealer when car was bought new. I do like that the windows are tinted. We will see what they say tomorrow. hopefully they budge.

That's my thought is that this is a well documented car. And what I am seeing locally is ragged out AP1's at $15K+ I think the AP1's are amazing but this is a DD except for when I drive the 4Runner in crappy weather.

For sure, that seems like a good move. Get all the info you can by email, phone, etc., then if things fall in the right place for a purchase, make the trip to check it out. I would highly recommend having a compression check and pre-purchase inspection on the car before as well. A compression test, leakdown test, and 180 point inspection ran me about $180 from a Honda dealer before I bought mine, but knowing it was perfect mechanically and had excellent compression across all cylinders was well worth it to me. Keep us posted!

Exactly. Spring/Early summer also does have an effect on prices anyway. I looked for 17 months or so for a great price on a pristine car, and 1-owner, perfectly maintained S's are hard to come by for sure. Maybe there's some wiggle room in dealer fees or something you might be able to negotiate off as well. AP2's are slightly more comfortable for DD's, and the mileage on that car is great. Good luck with it!

That's a good price IMO.

In fact, I paid $16k for my 05 with 41k miles, but it has a "murky" past, including at least one accident. I am happy with my purchase as it is immaculate and there doesn't seem to be any problems, but the Carfax report suggested a $2k deduction from retail.

Seems to be a persons "Lake House" car so probably babied.

Best price is $17,500 at the same Honda dealer where originally purchased.

Seems high but for what appears to be a babied 2005.
I think it may be worth the non-Private sale as I am seeing a lot of pretty beat up one's here for sale locally.

Thoughts anyone?
Accidents? I sold my 2005 for just under $20k a few months ago. I bought it new, perfect condition, ~55k miles and Honda Care warranty still valid. Getting a quality S2k was important to my buyer and he got one that's close to new.

I would have no problem paying that price. If it checks out good then go for it.
