As another poster stated, that's definitely too much for a car that has had major damage and major repair done to it. In MY02, I do not feel any nothchyness also. I would keep searching or negotiate a much better price with the seller.

I think that I will keep looking. The seller works with me and I don't want any bad blood by making an offer that insults him. Thanks all the advice and information.

About a month ago a kid hit me and did this.

I've been wanting an S2000 for awhile, even before the Lude was raped. I was hoping to find an '03-'05 GPW/tan (and bone stock), but they seem to disappear faster than birthday cake at fat camp.

Anyway, I've stumbled upon this possible gem, and I'm wondering what you guys think. It will be my daily driver.

Quick rundown:
2006 LBP (not Suzuka, as listed)
83k miles
completely stock
OEM front lip
OEM wing spoiler

Seller listed for $18k and then offered $17k out-the-door.

Here's a pic.

Here's the link to the ad.

Questions:
1. Is $17k about right or should I try for lower?
2. What do you think of the seats?
3. How many people put AP1 wheels on their AP2? Are the brake calipers the same?

1)
For a 2006 with this mileage, it's around there
Did you ask for 17K and they went like "yeah, that's acceptable"?
Or did you offer lower and they're like "we can't do that low, 17K is the most we can do"?

Anyway, talking with the car dealer about the price through e-mail or phone isn't really helpful
The real deal depends on the test drive and actually seeing the condition of the vehicle in person

2)
The seats are what I would have expected for this mileage. If you do plan on getting this vehicle, just go for some Clazzio Seat Cover

3)
I think most ppl upgrade AP1 wheels to AP2 instead of the other way around
AP1 is 16" if I'm not mistaken
The brake calipers are the same I think (Correct me if I'm wrong though)

Those seats would have me running away from this car.

The worn seats wouldn’t freak me out too much; seems fairly common on the s2k (it’s hard to get out without pushing against the seat, hence my broken down side bolster).

Interior sure looks dirty for dealer shots.
